Feminist Studies - Feminist Studies, an independent interdisciplinary journal first published in 1972, was founded to encourage analytic responses to feminist issues and to open new areas of research, criticism, and speculation. We are committed to providing a forum for feminist analysis, debate, and exchange. The Feminist movement has demonstrated that the study of women is more than a compensatory project. Instead, feminism has the potential to reshape fundamentally the way we view the world. We wish not just to interpret women's experiences, but to change women's condition. For us, feminist thought represents a transformation of consciousness, social forms, and modes of action.
